What does the onboarding process of FFI look like?
-
First: Contact Hon at hon@honshealthykitchen.com or text her at (646) 404-2238.
-
Arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet with Hon and key stakeholders to work through whatever you need to get started. These include:
-
Selecting 1 or 2 classroom teachers to start your FFI program for year 1.
-
Selecting the types and lengths of projects that fit best into your mission, curriculum and goals for this year.
-
Deciding whether you’d like to bring in a specialist teacher.
-
Deciding if you need sponsors and for what specific part(s) of the FFI budget. **
-
If sponsors are needed, can you identify them in your school or local community? Need Hon to help “sell” them? **
-
Other issues, ideas, questions.
-
Set a follow-up meeting with your chosen teacher(s), yourself, and Principal or FFI lead for your school program. Hon is available for this meeting if you’d like her to attend either on Zoom or in person.
-
Next: Teacher and specialist teacher (if involved) start FFI program.
-
Hon is on call if you need as you go forward.
-
As the program gets underway, the project leader will keep a diary of the FFI school year projects with photos/videos of participants, testimonials and feedback from students, teachers, parents. The diary serves to document the program, and as a guide for year 2 (including any suggested improvements).
