FFI BUDGET
-
$595.00 (tax-deductible) – Paid to Hon’s Healthy Kitchen (HHK) for one classroom in a school for a full school year.
-
Discuss discounted rate with Hon if you would like more than one class to participate in FFI.
-
The HHK fee covers the following:
-
A Vimeo subscription to Are We Really What We Eat? (AWRWWE’) 20-episode docuseries for the FFI project leader– either the classroom teacher or specialist teacher] replete with its own set of Resources and Recipes
-
One digital copy of The FFI Teacher’s Guide
-
Three (3) meetings (in-person or on Zoom) with Hon plus phone calls or emails as needed throughout school year. This includes assistance bringing in sponsors to help pay a part of the budget if needed
-
Other budget items are discretionary and paid directly by the FFI school partner to the service provider.
-
These items cover:
-
Project materials – depending on the project this might cover magnifying glasses, bug jars, seeds, recipe ingredients etc. Suggested budget for 1 class for the school year: $250
-
Teacher specialist Honorarium – if she/he is not pro bono – to be worked out between school and service provider with suggested amount ranging between $250-$500.
-
Sponsorships should be relatively easy to get whether for all or a part of the budget. Parent groups, PTAs, local businesses, students’ grandparents, family friends, local philanthropists and foundations are likely sponsors. Sponsorships can be divided up into three parts: project materials; specialist teacher; HHK Teacher’s Guide and AWRWWE docuseries.
